Corporate Social Responsibility
SOS Systems takes its corporate social responsibilities very seriously. We appreciate that commercial enterprises have both an impact on, and a responsibility to, society as a whole.
We are committed to minimising our impact on the environmental and promoting sustainable initiatives wherever possible. At the same time we would like to contribute positively towards the physical and mental health of our colleagues, customers and community.
Sustainability
As a business, we are committed to sustainability. We are constantly seeking opportunities to minimise or offset our impact on the environment. We also provide advice and guidance to our customer in support of their own green initiatives.
Community
It is important for us to play a role in supporting our local community. Where possible, we use local suppliers and recruit new employees from within the region. We encourage everyone to participate in local fundraising and also support the national homeless charity, Shelter.
The Patrick Evans Foundation
SOS is proud to support the Patrick Evans Foundation. It is a cause that is very close to our hearts.
The Patrick Evans Foundation was established following the tragic death of Patrick Evans, following a skiing accident while on a family holiday in France.
The Foundation has four core charitable objectives:
To promote and protect the physical and mental health of suffers of physical disease or illness of any description, with a particular emphasis on sufferers of prostate cancer or kidney disease, through the provision of financial support, education and advice.
To relieve the mental, physical and emotional impact of persons suffering from bereavement or loss, through the provision of counselling and support.
To relieve the poverty of young people, through the provision of grants to enable them to participate in healthy recreational activities that they might otherwise not afford.
To advance the education of the public, and to benefit the public in general, by promoting awareness and safety in support and recreational activities.
